Meet the Staff
Anne Chandler, Owner
It is a joy for my husband Stew and me to have our four adult children and grandchildren living close by, and we cherish our time with them. I love our home in Hunt Valley, which has comfortably provided a separate child care facility since 1991. I enjoy cooking and baking for family and friends, but most especially I adore spending time at the ocean.
Emily Wilson, Director
My name is Emily Wilson and I am the Director of Ridge Country Childcare. I graduated from Maryvale Preparatory School in 2000, and received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Goucher College in 2004. After working in the advertising industry for six years, I decided to make a positive change in my life and career by working with children. Anne Chandler is my mother and I grew up in this home, so I have been around or a part of this center since 1991. My husband Matt and I have a son Bo, born in 2014, and a daughter Kelly, born in 2019. I adore being with children, and I find working in Early Childhood education to be incredibly rewarding.
My name is Elizabeth Gansallo but I usually go by my middle name, Kemi. I am one of the new teacher aides at Ridge Country Childcare. I am very excited to start the school year and meet all of you. I began undergrad as a mechanical engineering major but I realized I needed to be in a profession where I got to directly benefit others. I graduated from George Mason University in May 2021. I am in the process of preparing to continue my education in social work at the master's level. I love working with children and being able to positively influence their character.
My name is Katelyn Pearce and I am a Teacher Aide at Ridge Country Childcare. I graduated from Eastern Technical High School and will be attending Towson University for Early Childhood Education. I have had a passion to work with children since I was young and am grateful to have the opportunity to work at RCC to gain experience teaching children. In my free time, I love to crochet, be outdoors and read!
My name is Taylor Deese and I am one of the Teacher Aides here at Ridge Country Childcare. I'm a very passionate individual and often have my hands in a variety of projects and subjects. I received my Associates from the College of Southern Maryland in Fine Arts and then experienced a sudden change of heart that led me to transferring to Towson University and becoming an Environmental Studies Major. I've since gotten my feet wet with nature education and have absolutely fallen in love with teaching children through the environment. I'm looking forward to this school year and having the opportunity to guide children and help reconnect them with nature.
